Social Media Content Coordinator – Remote (Part-Time, 40-60 Hours/Month) 1099 employee.

Ophire Co. is a young, growing fiber arts company specializing in handmade crochet hooks and accessories. We are passionate about creativity, craftsmanship, and building an engaged community across social platforms. We’re looking for a highly organized, consistent, and motivated Social Media Manager to take our content and engagement to the next level.

Position Overview:
We need someone who is deeply engaged with social media and stays up to date on trends, SEO strategies, and algorithm shifts. This role requires a strong eye for aesthetics and branding, as well as the ability to create, edit, and optimize content across multiple platforms: YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and Facebook.

This is a remote position, but weekly morning meetings are required. The role is 40-60 hours per month with room to grow, and additional hours will be expected during holiday peak seasons.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a consistent and strategic content plan for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and Facebook
  • Stay current on trends, SEO, and best practices for engagement and growth
  • Content Creation: Collect ideas, plan, and produce engaging video and photo content that aligns with Ophire Co.’s aesthetic and brand voice
  • Edit and optimize photos and videos, including color correction, lighting adjustments, voiceovers, and text overlays
  • Engage with our community by responding to comments, messages, and creating interactive content
  • Manage and schedule posts using Meta Business Suite, YouTube Studio, TikTok, and Pinterest
  • Utilize Lightroom, CapCut, and other editing tools to maintain high-quality visuals
  • Be comfortable on camera for product demos, tutorials, and brand storytelling
  • Plan and execute seasonal campaigns, including additional hours during peak seasons

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in social media management and content creation (please provide a portfolio and links to social media accounts you’ve managed)
  • Proficiency in Meta, YouTube Studio, TikTok, Pinterest, Lightroom, CapCut, and social planning tools
  • Strong understanding of SEO, social media algorithms, and content trends
  • Skilled in photo and video editing, including color correction and lighting adjustments
  • Confident in front of the camera and able to do voiceovers and product presentations
  • Highly organized and able to work independently with consistency
  • Passion for fiber arts or crafting is a plus
