Tutorial

 

Abbreviations:

ch: chain

sc: single crochet

wsc: waistcoat sc

eor: end of row

 

Instructions: 

ch any multiple you prefer. 

Row 1: sc in the 2nd ch from your hook and until the eor. Count your sc stitches and remember that number. Ch1 and turn.  

how to start waistcoat sc: 

The first wsc needs to be placed between the left sc leg and the back loop.

 

 

Row 2: wsc in each stitch by placing a sc between the legs of each sc. The legs of each sc are highlighted in white below. After your last wsc, count your stitches. You must have the same number of stitches as row 1. Then, ch1 and turn. 

Repeat row 2 to add rows.
