Today I'm bringing you This beautiful lacy market bag just in time for farmers market season! This simple beautiful lacy pattern is a fun quick make. Happy Crocheting!

 

Tips for Pattern

Bag is worked from the bottom up in the round. The straps are formed by making chains and slip stitching to attach. No seaming required.

Abbreviations in Pattern (US terms)

Ch- Chain
Sk- Skip
Slst- Slip Stitch
Sc- Single Crochet
Dc- Double Crochet
Hdc- Half double crochet

Materials

Tapestry Needle
Scissors Stitch Markers

7.0mm crochet hook

Approx. (185) yards of We Crochet Billow, Weight (5) Bulky, 120 yards.

Pattern

Ch 3

Round 1: join to first ch, ch 1, work 12 scs into the center of your ch3, join round, ch 1. [12]

Round 2: *1sc, 2sc in next st, repeat from * to the end, join round, ch 1. [18]

Round 3: 2sc into each st around. join round, ch 1. [32]

Round 4: ch 2, 1dc into each st around, join round, ch 2.

Round 5: *1dc, 2dc into the next st, repeat from * to the end, join round, ch 2. [48]

Round 6: 1dc into each st around, join round, ch 2.

Round 7: *1dc into the next 6 sts, 2dc into the 7th st, repeat from * to the end, join round, ch2. [56]

Round 8: *sk 2, [dc1, ch1, dc1] into the same st, repeat from * to the last () sts, join round ch1.

Round 9: hdc each st around, join round, ch2.

Repeat Rounds 8-9 until you reach a total of 7 repeats.

Round 21: hdc each st around

Round 22: Repeat row 21

Straps

Step 1: ch 35, count 14 sts from the base of the chains you just made along the top of the bag, slst to attach.

Step 2: ch 1, sc over the next 14 sts, ch 35, count 14 sts from the base of the chains you just made along the top of the bag, slst to attach.

Step 3: ch 1, sc each st around (not joining the round), repeat for 2 rounds.

Step 4: cut yarn, attach yarn to the center of your straps at the bottom right-side corner.

Step 5: ch1, sc each st around, slst to first st, cut yarn.

Repeat Steps 4 & 5 to opposite strap.

Weaves in ends and....

You are finished!
