Care Instructions
Avoid Excessive Force: Ophire Co resin hooks offer a solid medium for your crochet crafts, however excessive force or bending can cause them to break or chip. Avoid dropping or applying undue pressure on the hooks.
Storage: Store your resin crochet hooks in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight. Exposure to prolonged sunlight or extreme temperatures may cause the resin to fade or warp. Avoid storing your Ophire Co hooks on a flat surface where they can roll off and break.
Cleaning: Use a clean, soft, damp cloth to gently wipe the hooks to remove any dirt or residue. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials as they can damage the resin's surface.
Transportation: When carrying your hooks, use a protective case or pouch to prevent them from coming into contact with other items that could scratch or damage them.
Shipping
Most orders will ship within 2-4 business days following the placement of your order for in-stock items- this time period starts the following business day after placing your order. Processing times are subject to change at any time. Orders placed on Saturday, Sunday, or during a holiday will be processed the following business day. International customers are responsible for any customs and import taxes & duties that may apply. Ophire Co. is not responsible for delays in shipping or delays due to customs. Please be aware that if any of the items you have ordered are unavailable, we will promptly notify you via email to inform you of the situation. In the event that we do not receive a timely response from you, a refund for the affected item will be issued. Unfortunately, we are unable to place orders on hold. It is important to note that we initiate the processing of your order immediately upon receipt. Once the invoice for your order is generated, it enters our shipping process and becomes unmodifiable or cancelable. We appreciate your understanding in this matter and want to assure you that we are diligently working to ensure a swift and efficient delivery of your order.
Mis-Shipped Items
In the event you receive an incorrect item that you did not order, Ophire Co. may at our choice offer to send a return label to have the item returned to us at no expense to you. Ophire Co. will not send out a replacement item until the mis-shipped item has been returned to Ophire Co.
Exchanges
In most instances, Ophire Co. is happy to exchange an item for you that does not meet expectations on a limited basis. Such items will need to be returned to Ophire Co. using the Returns section guidelines below in pre-paid packaging. Ophire Co. will then ship out an exchange item of equal value for free, based upon available inventory. Please note that receiving a hook that does not closely match in color to what is pictured on Ophireco.com is not always considered grounds for exchange as hook colors can vary from batch to batch.
Replacements
Items that arrive damaged from transit, or items that break during normal usage are eligible for a free replacement. Negligent usage of items is not eligible for any replacement. Negligent use includes dropping, throwing, damage from pets, falling off tables, physical alteration, modification, etc. regardless of where the hook was broken or damaged. Returns
You may return most new items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund of the original purchase price, minus the cost of shipping (cost of shipping also includes duties & customs for international purchasers). Ophire Co. will pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error, such as you received an incorrect or defective item. You should expect to receive your refund within 14 business days after Ophire Co. receives your package, however, in many cases you may receive a refund more quickly. If the return is postmarked after 30 days, a 10% restocking fee will be subtracted from your refund.
All returns should be returned to Ophire Co. in their original, unmodified condition. This includes returning each hook in the original shipping tubes with original packing materials (5.5mm and smaller hooks will need to be returned using the supplied round foam insulator, as originally packed), and returning other items such as bowls or stands in a well-insulated and protected manner. Items returned to Ophire Co. without original packaging and that arrive damaged as a result of improper packaging will be subject to not receiving a refund for the damaged items.
Items being returned that are not defective or that were not a result of our error need to be shipped back pre-paid prior to returning the item: Packages being returned to us under this condition and are sent Charge On Delivery (COD) will be refused.

Non-Delivery of Product
In the event you do not receive your order in a timely manner for reasons outside of the control of Ophire Co., you must immediately notify our Customer Service team for assistance at support@ophireco.com. Orders returned that are not the fault of Ophire Co., such as an incorrect address or a failed delivery, are eligible for a full refund minus the cost of shipping. Refunds for international orders will exclude duties and customs fees as well.
In the event an order is lost during shipment, Ophire Co. will attempt to initiate a shipping claim with the carrier. Please note that shipping claims cannot be initiated until 14 business days for Domestic orders, and 30 business days for International orders, after the original expected delivery date. In some instances, the customer may be responsible for providing additional information to the shipping carrier to complete the claim.
If you place an order with the incorrect address and the order is delivered, Ophire Co. will not issue a refund for the order.
Will the birthstone colors be restocked?
Yes! All of our birthstone colors are permanent color ways and we continue to restock them throughout the year. Please sign up for our email newsletter to be notified of restocks and new releases!
Pre-orders
Pre-orders typically open up 1-2 weeks prior to the release of a new color. Not every color release will have a pre-order available. Due to the unpredictable state of the global supply chain ship dates are not guaranteed. Sign up for our email newsletter to stay informed about more details related to a specific pre-order.
How are Ophire Co resin hooks made?
Our hooks are made by mixing a two-part epoxy resin that is then poured into a round mold called a “blank”. The resin is then cured. Once cured, the blanks are removed from the mold, hand carved, sanded, and polished. This is how we obtain a smooth and shiny finish. Due to this method, no two hooks are the same. Each one is as unique as the person purchasing it. This may mean the photographs on our website may not match the exact colors you receive. Ophire Co. strives to produce as consistent of a product as possible, however colors may vary slightly from batch to batch.
How do Ophire Co. ergonomic hooks differ?
If you are not used to working with an ergonomic crochet hook it can take a little bit of time to adjust to holding an ergonomic handle. You may notice that your tension may differ and be a little looser if you normally use a straight handle crochet hook. Ophire Co crochet hooks are made to be durable and lightweight. They come in a variety of bright and eye-catching colors. Compared to other types of crochet hooks, they have a smoother surface that allows the yarn to glide easily.
Oops Products
Oops Hooks, Bowls, Stands, etc. are Ophire Co. brand products that may have minor scratches, pits, cracks, incorrect sizing, double stamping, minimal coloring, or any number of various defects that prevent them from being sold as a normal retail product. Oops Products are sold as is at a deep discount off retail. No replacements, returns, or exchanges will be offered or accepted on Oops Products, with the exception of breakage during transit. If an Oops Product is damaged during shipment, Ophire Co. will either replace the product with an equivalent value product, or in the event a replacement is not available, you will receive a refund for the product. Oops Products are not discountable and do not qualify for free shipping.
All Oops Products are sold in perfect working order and can be used as a normal product. Oops Products are made available at random throughout the year as stock becomes available, and sell rapidly! The best way to be notified of Oops Sales is to sign up for our email newsletter!
